UNC football moves up in latest US LBM Coaches Poll

The UNC football program moved up in the US LBM Coaches Poll after beating Minnesota.

The North Carolina Tar Heels are now 3-0 to start the 2023 college football season after earning a big win over Minnesota on Saturday. Mack Brown’s team jumped out to the early lead, and then held off the Gophers for the 31-13 win.

It was a big win for the Tar Heels as they get set for Atlantic Coast Conference play next week and a trip to Pitt to face the Panthers.

The win also helped UNC move up in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll as well. Last week, the Tar Heels dropped two spots after barley beating Appalachian State in double overtime but this week, they are up 1 spot from No. 18 to No. 17 in the poll.

The Tar Heels are the second-highest ranked team in the ACC behind only No. 3 Florida State. Duke checked in at No. 18 while Miami is at No. 21 and Clemson is at No. 23.
