[autotag]Mack Brown[/autotag] and the UNC football program received some good news on Thursday evening in terms of their chances for a three-star recruit.

Wide receiver Chris Culliver made an update to his recruitment, narrowing his list of 18 offers down to seven schools. Culliver announced that he will be focusing on North Carolina, Maryland, Florida State, NC State, Virginia Tech, Appalachian State, and Ohio State.

Maryland recently offered the recruit and made the list.

The 6-foot-3, 174-pound receiver hails out of Maiden, North Carolina and is a prospect UNC has had high on their list. As it stands now, the Tar Heels might be the team to beat in this recruitment holding the crystal ball prediction lead on 247Sports.

Culliver is ranked No. 420 nationally, No. 56 wide receiver and the No. 15 player in the state of North Carolina per the 247Sports rankings. He plans on taking visits this Summer.
