For the second-straight day, the North Carolina Tar Heels’ football program landed a recruit for the 2024 class.
After four-star wide receiver Jordan Shipp committed to the Tar Heels on Sunday, four-star safety Malcolm Ziglar joined the 2024 class. Ziglar picked UNC on Monday afternoon, ending his recruitment and pledging his verbal commitment to the program.
The 6-foot-2, 198-pound Ziglar held a ceremony at Fuquay-Varina High to announce the decision, giving UNC another in-state recruit. After 26 total offers, Ziglar picked UNC over a finalists list that featured East Carolina, Kentucky, UNC, Clemson, South Carolina, Penn State, Appalachian State and Notre Dame. He visited UNC, Notre Dame, and South Carolina in his recruitment.
