Fresh off a win on Saturday against FAMU, Mack Brown and the North Carolina Tar Heels have now earned a big recruiting win here on Monday.
Four-star linebacker Kaveion Keys made his decision with an announcement on Monday afternoon, picking North Carolina and verbally committing to the Tar Heels. Keys picked UNC over Penn State, Texas A&M, and Virginia Tech.
The linebacker becomes the 18th player to commit to North Carolina in this recruiting cycle, and the seventh four-star prospect to join UNC’s 2023 class which is now ranked No. 20 in the 247Sports team recruiting rankings for this cycle.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Keys is the No. 21 ranked linebacker and No. 4 player in the state of Virginia per 247Sports.
He was a highly-sought-after recruit earning 16 offers before narrowing down his list to his finalists. Keys was on campus for Saturday’s game against Florida A&M and eventually made his decision on Monday.
