UNC Football lands commitment from three-star safety

The UNC Football program picked up a commitment from a three-star safety in the 2023 recruiting class on Tuesday.

Mack Brown and the UNC Football program have picked up another commitment for their 2023 class.

On Tuesday morning, three-star safety Zachary Tobe pledged his verbal commitment to the program. Tobe picked UNC over 21 offers including his final list of UCF, Boston College, Illinois, and Iowa.

Tobe was on UNC’s campus last weekend for his official visit. as the Tar Heels got the final visit of his group of finalists and in the end, it was enough to land the commitment. The Ocoee, Florida native is ranked No. 856 overall, No. 67 safety, and No. 122 player in the state of Florida per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.

Tobe is now the 8th player to commit to North Carolina in the 2023 class, giving them the No. 43 overall class per 247Sports and the No. 10 class in the ACC.
