UNC football lands commitment from four-star safety

The UNC football program has landed a four-star safety in the 2024 recruiting class.

The North Carolina Tar Heels just added a big commitment to their 2024 class on Tuesday.

Four-star safety Tyshun White pledged his commitment to North Carolina, ending his recruitment and picking the Tar Heels. The Buford, Georgia native picked the Tar Heels over 29 other offers including Florida, Florida State, Maryland, Michigan State,  Michigan, Louisville, Duke, and Ole Miss among others.

The talented safety took visits to both Maryland and UNC in the month of June and then canceled a visit to Michigan State. Setting his decision date for the time he did was a big win for North Carolina as they entered this recruitment as the favorites.

The commitment of White now gives UNC 22 commitments in the 2024 class which ranks No. 21 in the 247Sports team rankings.

White is a 5-foot-11, 187-pound safety that is ranked No. 303 nationally, No. 29 safety and the No. 39 player in the state of Georgia per the 247Sports composite rankings.
