While the North Carolina Tar Heels are facing off against Campbell on Saturday afternoon in Chapel Hill, they received some good news on the recruiting front.
The Tar Heels secured a verbal commitment from a three-star defensive lineman out of Georgia. Leroy Jackson pledged his commitment to the Tar Heels during a ceremony at his high school, becoming the latest piece to join the 2024 class.
With early signing day happening next week, Jackson is likely going to be the final piece for the Tar Heels 2024 class barring any big surprises during the signing period, which are not really expected.

The 6-foot-2, 275-pound Jackson is a native of Leesburg, Georgia where he’s currently at Lee County High School. Jackson is ranked as the No. 124 defensive lineman and the No. 128 player in the state of Georgia per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
With the addition of Jackson, North Carolina now has 27 commitments in the 2024 class. That class ranks 27th overall.
