It’s been a good weekend for Mack Brown and the UNC football program.
After the team improved to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the ACC with the win over Duke on Saturday, the Tar Heels got another win on Sunday. But this time on the recruiting trail.
Brown and his staff were able to flip a three-star safety in the 2023 recruiting class. Ayden Duncanson announced on Sunday that he is flipping his commitment from East Carolina to the Tar Heels just a week after he took a visit to Chapel Hill. UNC has been in pursuit of the talented safety and has now won out in the recruitment:

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Duncanson is a Georgia native that had 13 offers in his recruitment. He committed to East Carolina earlier in 2022, taking a visit there in June.
But as UNC showed interest, he made the trip to visit the program and eventually decided he wants to commit.
UNC now has 20 commitments in the 2023 class, giving them the No. 20 overall class per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
