The start of the college football season is still over a month away but as we continue the countdown until the September opener, some more football content is coming your way.
The annual ACC Kickoff event will take place next week in Charlotte as the league will send players and coaches from teams to meet the media. It’s a fun event that gives us just a little taste of the upcoming season.
For the North Carolina Tar Heels, they will be represented by head coach Mack Brown as well as three players. On Tuesday, they announced that quarterback Drake Maye, linebacker Cedric Gray, and tight end John Copenhaver will represent the Tar Heels:

Maye enters this season as a Heisman favorite and is coming off a 2022 season in which he was named the top player in the conference. For Gray, he enjoyed a breakout season a year ago and enters this year as one of the best linebackers in the conference.
Copenhaver is entering his junior season for the Tar Heels and has appeared in 27 games in his career so far.
