The University of North Carolina football team already boasts a ton of talent in its 2024 recruting class.
UNC has 26 players locked down, including 4-starts Zion Ferguson, Davion Gause, Malcolm Ziglar, Tyshun White, Alex Taylor and Jordan Shipp. The Heels were a finalist for 4-star Jonathan Paylor, but he opted to choose that school in red from Raleigh.
One of those 4-star prospects, Providence Day wide receiver Jordan Shipp, is aiming to add another star to his name.
If we’re going off the first game of his senior high school season alone, Shipp is well on the way to that coveted fifth star. Shipp caught 13 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns in Providence Day’s 42-35 win over Northwestern (Rock Hill, S.C.) High School.
I’m coming for that 5th star… https://t.co/qiWPp0D8mt

Shipp will be catching passes all season from a future collegiate quarterback – 4-star Michigan commit Jadyn Davis, who threw for 499 yards and five touchdowns in the win.
While Shipp certainly wants to add a fifth star next to his name, his main goal will be helping the top-ranked Chargers capture their third-straight NCISAA state championship. Shipp and his teammates will continue that quest on Friday, Aug. 25, when they travel to Asheville High School.
