Things have changed in a year for the North Carolina Tar Heels and it’s been for the better.

Last year at this time, North Carolina was desperately seeking a win to keep their very slim NCAA Tournament chances alive. A win over Duke at home likely would have gotten them in. Instead, they lost and then fell two games later to Virginia to officially end their season.

But here we are in 2024, where North Carolina has already clinched a share of the ACC regular season title and looks to win it outright against Duke.

Not only that, but UNC is hoping to strengthen their resume heading into the NCAA Tournament as a No. 2 seed fresh off not making it at all a year ago.
