The UNC men’s basketball program is -7.5-point favorites against the Clemson Tigers for their Tuesday night showdown.
UNC had their best win of the season last time out, beating arch-rival Duke 93-84. The success stemmed from the Tar Heels fast-paced offense, essentially running the Blue Devils out of Chapel Hill.
That high-tempo offense has been UNC’s driving force, becoming a nightmare for opposing defenses. Clemson already experienced the threat that the Tar Heels being, losing early January 66-55, thanks to a fiery second half by UNC.
The biggest difference in this game is the location, with UNC failing to disappoint at home with a perfect 10-0 record in the Dean Smith Center. The other difference is the Tar Heel’s ability to pounce on opponents’ mistakes, quickly creating separation when it occurs.
The other bet to watch in this one is the under/over, with the odds set at 154.5 for total points. The last time out, these two teams mustered up a whopping 121 points. It’s unlikely that UNC find themselves under the 70-point mark again, but their stout defense could echo the same results for Clemson.
