UNC basketball still hosting four-star recruit this weekend

The UNC basketball program is still hosting four-star power forward Zayden High for an official visit this weekend.

With Hurricane Ian still making its way across the east coast, the UNC basketball program made the decision to postpone the Live Action event and move it to next week. The event is replacing “Late Night” and is the unofficial start to the college basketball season for the program.

During the event, UNC usually hosts recruiting visits as it’s a chance for them to impress recruits. This year, UNC was set to have two recruits on campus for the event and as of now, one of them is still attending campus for a visit.

Four-star forward zTop 2023 UNC basketball target set to cut down list is still taking his visit as of Thursday night:

The 6-foot-9, 225-pound power forward is the lone remaining target for Hubert Davis and the Tar Heels in the 2023 class. And he’s a very important recruit for them.

The Tar Heels have just one commit in 2023 with Simeon Wilcher being the lone recruit. Ideally, adding a forward like High to pair with this 2022 class is the goal for Davis and his staff

High is ranked No. 55 overall, No. 12 power forward, and No. 2 player in the state of Texas per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
