UNC basketball recruiting target, commit earns all-state honors

A UNC basketball commit and another recruiting target earn All-State honors for the past season

Hubert Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels basketball program are still building the future of the roster with the transfer portal as well as recruiting.

While they have a four-player class for the 2024 cycle, the Tar Heels are still pursuing more targets hoping to add to the class. There’s also the chance that a player reclassifies from 2024 into the 2023 class. And one of those candidates is target Jarin Stevenson.

The five-star Pittsboro product is a Top 12 player in the 2024 class and has six offers in his recruitment. For his junior year, Stevenson is being honored as a first-team All-State selection by High School OT:

Joining Stevenson on that list is UNC five-star commit Drake Powell who also made it as a forward.

Powell committed to North Carolina back in 2022 and since then has really impressed with his game, earning a fifth star in recruiting. If the Tar Heels could somehow land Stevenson, they could have a historic 2024 class that features four five-star recruits and a four-star recruit.

That is if there is no reclassification by any of the 2024 recruits.
