UNC basketball program working on visit with five-star recruit

The UNC basketball program is working on setting up an official visit with a five-star recruiting target.

With Hubert Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels working on their recruiting board for future classes, priority targets are starting to emerge for the program. And one of those targets is five-star power forward Caleb Wilson out of Atlanta.

The forward is a top 5 recruit who is drawing a lot of interest from programs so far in his recruitment. He has a total of 17 offers with programs like Alabama, Duke, Auburn, Indiana, Kentucky, and North Carolina all offering and pursuing him.

And his recruitment is starting to heat up on the UNC side.

Per Adam Zagoria, the Tar Heels were in Atlanta to visit Wilson on Tuesday, sending Davis, Sean May, and Brad Frederick. The two sides are also working on setting up a visit.

That’s good news for North Carolina fans in their pursuit of Wilson and where it stands going forward.

The 6-foot-9, 200-pound Wilson is ranked No. 4 nationally, the No. 3 power forward, and No. 1 player in the state of Georgia per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
