The North Carolina Tar Heels were able to rebound with back-to-back wins this season following a three-game losing streak. The Tar Heels earned a big Atlantic Coast Conference win over Georgia Tech and then followed it up with a win over La Salle.
Even with the two-straight wins and a 6-4 record, the Tar Heels are still out of the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches poll. This is the second straight week the Tar Heels have been unranked in the poll.
North Carolina did receive nine votes overall, which puts them at team No. 38 overall.
For North Carolina, the test gets tougher this week. They will take on No. 6 Florida in the Jumpman Invitational in Charlotte on Tuesday then they face off against No. 18 UCLA in the CBS Sports Classic in Madison Square Garden on Saturday. It will be an opportunity for UNC to get two Quad 1 victories and build some confidence moving forward.
