UNC basketball falls in latest AP Top 25 poll after 2-0 week

The UNC basketball program took a fall in the Associated Press Top 25 poll after a 2-0 start.

Hubert Davis has the North Carolina Tar Heels off to a 2-0 start with wins over Radford on Monday and then Lehigh on Sunday. While UNC did let both teams hang around longer than they would have, they still got two wins to open the year.

As November rolls on, the schedule is going to get tougher and tougher beginning next week. On Friday, North Carolina hosts UC Riverside before heading to the Bahamas for the Battle 4 Atlantis. And after that, it gets even tougher.

But as UNC gets set for one game this week, they saw their ranking in the Associated Press Top 25 take a fall.

UNC fell one spot from No. 19 to No. 20 in the AP Top 25 poll, earning 501 total points. Both USC and Baylor jumped the Tar Heels, moving up five spots each.

As for the Atlantic Coast Conference, Duke still leads the way but did fall 7 spots from No. 2 to No. 9. Miami moved up one spot from No. 13 to No. 12  while Virginia and Clemson both earned votes.
