North Carolina commit Ian Jackson has been one of the most talked about recruits in the 2024 class this summer.
After a big junior season in high school, Jackson carried that momentum into the AAU circuit. The five-star shooting guard is the highest-ranked player in UNC’s 2024 class which is No. 1 right now as the cycle continues. As a top 5 recruit, Jackson has the potential to move up even higher in the rankings.
And if he continues the hot play, he should do just that in the next update.
At the Adidas camp over the past week, Jackson drew a lot of attention from scouts of NBA teams and rightfully so. Jackson averaged 29.3 points, 9 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game during the event.
UNC commit Ian Jackson was ridiculous this week averaging 29.3 PPG, 9.0 RPG and 6.7 APG. Made some fantastic reads in the PnR, shot making at high level, shot 54% and lots of NBA personnel in attendance for his big week pic.twitter.com/NqEOQDtRXZ

Jackson is a polished recruit that is getting better and better as time goes on, which is great news for North Carolina. Despite rumblings on social media of Jackson wavering from his commitment, the recruit has cleared the air saying he’s still committed to the Tar Heels.
Let’s hope it stays that way as the Tar Heels are getting a big-time player.
