We are a long ways away from the start of the 2023-24 college basketball season as the previous season just wrapped up. And while we still have the excitement of the transfer portal and recruiting to get through, plus the summer months, it’s never too early for news regarding next season.
On Tuesday, it was revealed that the North Carolina Tar Heels would open the season against Radford. Now, a day later we have another opponent on the schedule for the Tar Heels.
Per Jon Rothstein, UNC has added UC Riverside to the schedule in November as they will host the Highlanders on November 17th in Chapel Hill.

This is the second non-conference home game scheduled for North Carolina as of now.
But we do know that the Tar Heels in the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas again, a field that also includes Michigan, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Memphis, Stanford, Northern Iowa, and Villanova. The Tar Heels will take on Kentucky in the CBS Sports Classic and are scheduled to participate in the Jimmy V Classic in New York City, the Jumpman Invitational in Charlotte and the inaugural ACC-SEC Challenge.
The full schedule is expected to be finalized this Summer.
