The second weekend of AAU basketball is here as its another jam-packed three days across the country. And for the UNC basketball staff, they will be busy once again on the road watching prospects compete in the Nike, adidas and Under Armour circuits.
On Friday, one North Carolina commit earned more praise for the second straight weekend as he continues to impress. Despite finishing with just 9 points, five-star guard Elliot Cadeau caught the attention of some in attendance who were watching on the EYBL circuit in Phoniex.
Cadeau had 9 points and 10 assists in another New Heights Lightning win on Friday night. He’s now up to four-straight games in which he has double-digit assists.

This is great news for UNC as Cadeau has elevated his game a lot over the past few months. He’s developed into one of the best point guards in the the 2024 recruiting class and is starting to get a lot of attention as well.
For Cadeau, there are rumors that he could reclassify to 2023 and play at UNC right away. That would give UNC an immediate boost for their lineup as he would likely be a day 1 starter.
