As part of Hubert Davis’ first true recruiting class, guard [autotag]Seth Trimble[/autotag] is a key player for the future of this program.
Trimble is a legacy recruit as his brother, J.P. Tokoto played three seasons at North Carolina. The guard followed in the footsteps of his brother, committing to the Tar Heels as a top 30 overall player.
After a successful high school career, Trimble is ready to take the step at the next level. And he could provide immediate value as a freshman despite being behind both Caleb Love and R.J. Davis in the rotation.

Depth Chart Overview
Trimble has a chance to come in and play valuable minutes right away due to the lack of guard depth on the roster. With R.J. Davis and Caleb Love being the two starters, Trimble should be one of the first guys off the bench to come in for either.
As a freshman, this is key for his growth overall. Getting good minutes early on is valuable for a player like Trimble. Plus, he gets to go against and learn from both Davis and Love in practice each day. He should be a key role player off the bench early on for the Tar Heels.
Preseason Bold Prediction
I think Trimble is going to be a better scorer than we think early on in his career. I can see him averaging 7-8 points per game as a freshman and make an immediate impact, something that will help this Tar Heel team, especially in the backcourt.
If this does happen, it could give Love and Davis more rest. Having a valuable guard like Trimble as a third option cannot be understated.
