Scott Forbes and the North Carolina Tar Heels’ baseball program enjoyed a successful season in 2024, reaching Omaha and the College World Series.
The Tar Heels had an exciting postseason run, going 6-3 with a regional win and a super regional win. They even took out the defending national champion LSU Tigers. While their run fell short in Omaha, Forbes and the team got the feeling of being back there and now it’s time to build on that.
With a lot of production leaving after this season, Forbes and is staff are challenged with replacing that. And this week, they received a big commitment for their recruiting class.
On Monday, pitcher Camron Seagraves pledged his commitment to North Carolina. Seagraves flipped his commitment from Campbell to North Carolina due to a coaching change.

Seagraves is one of the top pitching prospects in the entire country and one of the best players in the state of North Carolina. He won Gatorade North Carolina Baseball Player of the Year for 2024.
The 6-foot-3, 170-pound Seagraves is coming off a good season, going 8-2 with a no-hitter. He also struck out 127 batters while allowing a 1.71 ERA.
