UNC baseball falls three spots in USA TODAY Sports poll ater series loss

The UNC baseball program falls three spots in the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll after a series loss to Miami.

The North Carolina Tar Heels entered last week riding some momentum with a series win over the weekend. That set up a big ACC series against Miami in Chapel Hill for the Tar Heels, and a chance to make a statement in the conference.

But they leave the week going 2-2 and a series loss to the Hurricanes and they also dropped in the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches poll. The Tar Heels fell three spots from No. 13 to No. 16 in the poll that was released on Monday.

UNC is ranked No. 4 among Atlantic Coast Conference teams, behind only No. 2 Wake Forest, No. 7 Virginia and No. 10 Louisville.
