The River Hawks roughed up Rivier College, a lower-level team, 115-59 in the opener Nov. 4. It topped St. Peter’s 81-74 last time out Nov. 8, but it failed to cover as an 11-point favorite while the Over (136) cashed.
The Bulldogs spanked Baylor in a top-10 battle Nov. 4 in the opener, winning 101-63 to easily cash as a 6-point favorite while the Over (157.5) cashed. It was a close shave against Arizona State in an 88-80 win last time out on Sunday, with the Zags not even coming close to covering as 21.5-point favorites while the Over (156.5) hit again.

UMass Lowell at Gonzaga picks and predictions
Prediction
Gonzaga 95, UMass Lowell 58
Moneyline
The ML is OTB at BetMGM Sportsbook. However, if you wanted to bet Gonzaga (-10000) at FanDuel Sportsbook, it would cost you 100 times your potential return. In other words, you would need to risk $100 for every $1 in profit. Nobody needs a buck that badly.
AVOID.
Against the spread
Play GONZAGA -27.5 (-110) laying the big number. It’s actually a little surprising that this number isn’t a little higher against the America East Conference representative.
UMass Lowell +27.5 (-110) is unbeaten in 2 games, yes, so that likely had the books keep the line down. But UML’s 2 victories are against a lower-division team and a St. Peter’s team which is a shell of its former self. Gonzaga is a deep team, and it won’t play in this battle.
Over/Under
UNDER 165.5 (-115) is a strong play, even if the Zags flirt with the century mark.
Gonzaga could get into the upper 90s or into triple digits, but UMass Lowell is going to be at a size disadvantage, and it will have tremendous difficult running and keeping up with the Zags.
Yes, the Over has cashed in both games for Gonzaga so far, but that’s against 2 upper-tier teams in Baylor and Arizona State. It should lock it down on defense against the River Hawks.
