UFC’s Drew Dober issues respectful callout of Michael Chandler: ‘I’m ready for the violence’

Drew Dober would love a shot at fellow knockout artist Michael Chandler if a fight with Conor McGregor doesn’t get made.

UFC lightweight [autotag]Drew Dober[/autotag] wants a shot at fellow knockout artist [autotag]Michael Chandler[/autotag].

Fresh off his Fight of the Night knockout of Bobby Green this past Saturday at UFC Fight Night 216, Dober (26-11 MMA, 13-6 UFC) called out rising contender Jalin Turner.

But another name Dober would love to throw down with is former Bellator champion and UFC title challenger Chandler (23-8 MMA, 2-3 UFC), who’s been campaigning to welcome Conor McGregor back to the octagon.

“I love competing against guys I respect and I’ve been a fan of his for years,” Dober tweeted. “If Conor refuses I’m ready for the violence.”

With all these potential match up ideas and everyone’s opinions on outcome. My only thought is, “There is only one way to find out ” 🤜🤛

With his finish of Green, Dober tied Dustin Poirier’s record for most knockouts in UFC lightweight history at eight. Dober’s past six wins have come by knockout, and 10 of his 13 UFC victories have come by stoppage.

Chandler is coming off a Fight of the Night submission loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 281 in November. Prior to that, he scored a front-kick knockout of Tony Ferguson at UFC 274 – a finish that’s nominated for Knockout of the Year.
