UFC Vegas 48: Parker Porter vs. Alan Baudot odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC Vegas 48 odds and lines between Parker Porter vs. Alan Baudot, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a heavyweight fight on the main card, Parker Porter and Alan Baudot meet Saturday at UFC Vegas 48 – also known as UFC Fight Night 201 – at the UFC’s APEX Facility in Las Vegas. Below, we analyze the UFC Vegas 48: Porter vs. Baudot odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The card can be viewed on ESPN+ with the prelims starting at 4 p.m. ET and the main card at 7 p.m.

The 36-year-old Porter heads into this fight as the hefty favorite, literally and figuratively. He does give up three inches in height and four inches in reach but he makes up for it with experience.

The former Bellator fighter is 2-1 at the UFC level, getting dropped by Chris Daukaus in his debut at UFC 252, but rebounding for a pair of unanimous-decision wins against Josh Parisian and Chase Sherman.

Baudot is still searching for his first UFC victory, losing via KO/TKO in Round 1 against Tom Aspinall in his debut, while his fight against Rodrigo Nascimento resulted in a Round 2 no-decision last time out in July. He was dropped by Nascimento, and on his way to a loss, but the result was changed to a no-decision after his counterpart failed a post-fight drug test.

UFC Vegas 48 Porter vs. Baudot: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Porter (12-6-0) | Baudot (8-2-0)

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

Baudot (+210) hasn’t looked good in his two fights at the UFC level, while Porter (-280) has been technically sound, but not terribly overwhelming to date. Neither can be trusted straight up.

Instead, take a chance on PORTER BY KO/TKO (+125) for the method of victory. Each of Baudot’s two professional losses has come via KO/TKO, including his UFC debut against the Briton Aspinall. He should be 0-2 with the company, and he is on his way to another setback Saturday.

Over/Under (O/U)

Play No (-260): Fight to go the distance is just too expensive, especially since Porter is entering with a pair of decision wins in his past two showings.

Instead, consider PORTER TO WIN IN ROUND 2 (+420) and PORTER TO WIN IN ROUND 3 (+1100) for a much higher payout. Yes, betting a two-round block means you will have at least one losing ticket, even if Porter gets the job done in Rounds 2-3. However, you will also be very far ahead if that result comes through.
