Velasquez was arrested on Monday on a number of charges, including attempted murder. The former fighter and pro wrestler allegedly shot at a vehicle with multiple men, with one ending up in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The police believe Velasquez’s motive was to shoot Harry Goularte, who has been accused of lewd and lascivious act on a child who is reportedly related to Velasquez. However, he allegedly hit one of the other occupants.

Velasquez currently remains in custody after being denied bail, and with the news of his situation occupying headlines in the news, White was asked for his reaction in an interview with Barstool Sports.

“I obviously feel sorry for him and his family,” White said. “It’s a horrible thing. I don’t know enough details to speak on it, but from what I’ve heard – we all say we’d do it if it ever happened to us. Cain did it.”

Velasquez, 39, hasn’t competed in MMA since a 26-second knockout loss to current heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in February 2019.
