Munhoz vs. Rivera: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Munhoz 18-5 | Rivera 23-4

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

RIVERA (-150) is the play on the 2-way line in this battle against the Brazilian fighter Munhoz. Rivera heads into this one with a 3.5-inch reach advantage, which he’ll look to use to keep Munhoz at bay. He defeated Cody Stamann on Fight Island July 15, 2020, in his last fight. He has posted two wins and two losses over his past four outings. RIVERA ON POINTS (+100) is an even better value at even money, although if he gets a stoppage, you’d be holding a losing ticket.

Munhoz is on a two-bout losing streak, falling to Frankie Edgar by split decision Aug. 22, 2020, and to Aljamain Sterling by unanimous decision June 8, 2019. Prior to that, he had a pair of KO/TKO wins, including a solid win over Cody Garbrandt at UFC 235.

Over/Under (O/U)

Four of Munhoz’s past six fights went the distance, while Rivera has four consecutive decisions, and just one finish across his past nine bouts. PASS, as there is just no value betting the fight to go the distance (-250) here, or playing Over 2.5 rounds (-300). Too much risk for not much reward.
