Ahead of Saturday’s headliner, Vera (19-7-1 MMA, 13-6 UFC) and Cruz (24-3 MMA, 7-2 UFC) had to step on the scale at weigh-ins and hit the bantamweight limit.
That took place Friday morning at the UFC host hotel, where Vera was first to the scale registered at 135.5 pounds. Cruz, meanwhile, came to weigh-ins approximately 14 minutes later and was 135 pounds even on the scale.
