UFC on ESPN+ 24 reactions: Winning and losing fighters on social media

UFC on ESPN+ 24 winners and losers react on social media outlets such as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

Since the early days when the sport was anything but a mainstream endeavor, the MMA industry has thrived and survived through various websites, forums, and – perhaps most importantly – social-media platforms.

Fighters interact with fans, each other and many more through the likes of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, which helps outsiders get a deeper look into the minds of the athletes.

Following Saturday’s UFC on ESPN+ 24 in Raleigh, N.C., several of the winning and losing fighters, along with their coaches, training partners or family members, took to social media to react to the event or share a message with supporters.

Check out some of those reactions.

Well… This fight ends with me thinking “what about when hard work doesn’t pay of…?” I really worked my ass of for this fight but Sara shut me down beautifully and early in every round and didn’t even gave me room to start working. She did it smart, safe and as the world class athlete she is. Huge congrats @saramcmann it was really an honor to share the octagon with you. And yes! I’d love to come train with you! I just slept thirteen hours. I’m exhausted… But I woke up a little less sad than yesterday so now, while spending some time with friends and family, I need to figure out how to make the hard work I do pay of better next time. Huge thanks to my coaches @akiracorassani @_trymdahl @nossredna.sennahoj @arben_latifi and my whole team @redlinetc for everything you do for me. And a special thanks to all our kids at Redline training center for all your love and support! Thanks to @alanfinfoujj @martinalinnea and @connyfuture for all your help. Thanks to @palmerfriskvard for keeping me intact and making this possible. And… from the bottom of my heart, thank you to all beautiful people out there sending me so much love and support. It means so much to me ❤️

Volto em breve 🏆 #Repost @danawhite with @make_repost ・・・ ‪Jackson vs Colares is up next! #UFCRaleigh‬

Sometimes you win. Sometimes you learn. I came home with a bitter taste of my defeat, but when I stepped into Orange County airport I heard about the death of Kobe Bryant, a brilliant athlete who lost the right to live, to watch his daughters grow and when I came across with this hard fatality I thanked God for coming home safe with no injuries. Having a hug from my mother that I have seen little since I moved to America is priceless. This makes me see how God shows his love for me all the time. In all my defeats I just learned and this was no different. I learned how good it is to be able to do what I love again. I born to fight and win or lose I will restore myself, keep the faith and continue the fight! I’m thankful to my great and true friends, to my dear fans who even lift me up in defeat and believe in my overcoming and of course my family that gives me all the support I need to start from the bottom again and again. Life goes on👊🏼💪🏼||<><><>|| Às vezes você ganha. Nasci pra lutar e ganhando ou perdendo to forte pra me restaurar fechar as brechas e continuar à luta!

It's a lot easier to enjoy MMA when things go your way. But you know if you really love the sport when things don't go your way. A long lay off, injuries, 2 fight loss streak, getting older, and taking care of an infant are a few of the hurdles I had to navigate last night. The hardest part for me is my eternal question that's haunted me from day one… "Did I do enough?" You don't find out until you're locked in a cage in front of millions of people. I honestly think many of the challenges I face outside of the sport really sharpen my will and drive inside of the cage. Last night I wanted to win every area, I wanted to leave no hope for her and slowly break her spirit. If I'm being honest, I really wanted a submission. But I'll settle for dominating and trust that with more dedication to BJJ, I'll finish more of the subs I locked up. Thanks to everyone who believed in me. It is much more logical to think I was starting a downward spiral. It happens with athletes all the time. Maybe in a few years, but not yet 😏 This is such a long post I feel the need for a conclusion. The End. 😂 . . .📸 @rhettthetitan
