A four fight UFC veteran, women’s bantamweight competitor Mazany (5-3 MMA, 1-3 UFC) has parted ways with the promotion after back-to-back losses.

MMA Junkie confirmed the parting of ways with a person close to the situation. However, it is not clear whether she was cut from the promotion or her contract came to an end.

Mazany has already been booked for her next fight. She takes on Valerie Barney (5-1 MMA) at King of the Cage: Golden Fights in Grand Junction, Colo.

Mazany first burst into the national spotlight on season 18 of “The Ultimate Fighter.” She was eliminated by eventual tournament winner Julianna Pena in the first round of fights.

After she returned to the regional scene and picked up another victory, Mazany signed with the UFC in early 2017. Taking her UFC debut on short notice, Mazany was submitted in 74 seconds by former title challenger Sara McMann.

In her sophomore outing, Mazany picked up what is her lone UFC win to date: an unanimous decision nod against Yanan Wu.

Mazany would fight once in 2018 and once in 2019. She lost a decision to Lina Lansberg at UFC Fight Night 130, then was finished by strikes by Macy Chiasson in March at UFC 235.

Mazany is the girlfriend of former UFC title challenger and current UFC flyweight Tim Elliott.
