[autotag]Waldo Cortes-Acosta[/autotag]’s first finish inside the octagon was nothing short of spectacular, and it came at the expense of [autotag]Lukasz Brzeski[/autotag] at UFC Fight Night 225.
After earning his first three octagon victories by decision, Cortes-Acosta (10-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) put the heat on Brzeski (8-4-1 MMA, 0-3 UFC) on the feet with a savage flurry of strikes that resulted in a knockout victory at the 3:01 mark of Round 1 in the heavyweight bout at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.

After having his undefeated run snapped in his previous outing, Cortes-Acosta rebounded in promising fashion, and he said it all came down to preparation.
“I worked so hard for this,” Cortes-Acosta said through an interpreter in his post-fight interview with Michael Bisping. “I had one of the best camps. I just want to thank my team for their help. I felt the best I ever felt in this fight.”
