LAS VEGAS – What a difference 10 pounds makes.
[autotag]Aspen Ladd[/autotag] made weight Friday morning at the UFC Fight Night 195 official weigh-ins, tipping the scale at 145 for her featherweight main event against Norma Dumont.
For Ladd, this weigh-ins experience was a 180-degree turn from just two weeks ago when she struggled with her cut down to bantamweight for her scheduled UFC Fight Night 193 bout with Macy Chiasson, which ultimately was canceled after Ladd registered one pound heavy. This time, there was no need to strip down, the wall block wasn’t needed, and her body didn’t shake uncontrollably while trying to register an official weight. This time, Ladd was the first fighter to step on the scale. And when she did, she hit her mark with ease.

It was a welcomed sight after the disturbing images from Oct. 1, which wasn’t the first time Ladd struggled badly to make 136. A similar situation unfolded in July 2019 for her UFC Fight Night 155 headliner against Germaine de Randamie as Ladd hit her mark even as she could barely hold herself up on the scale. She was TKO’d in 16 seconds the next day.
