UFC books Nikita Krylov vs. Ryan Spann to headline Feb. 25 event

UFC light heavyweight contenders Nikita Krylov and Ryan Spann are lined up to fight in a main event early next year.

Another light heavyweight contender fight is in the works.

[autotag]Nikita Krylov[/autotag] and [autotag]Ryan Spann[/autotag] have been booked to headline a UFC Fight Night event Feb. 25. The card does not currently have a publicly known location or venue.

Two people with knowledge of the matchup confirmed the booking to MMA Junkie but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.

Krylov (29-9 MMA, 10-7 UFC) partakes in his first UFC headliner in his 18th fight with the promotion. He enters the matchup riding back-to-back wins over former UFC light heavyweight title challengers Alexander Gustafsson and Volkan Oezdemir.

Spann (21-7 MMA, 7-2 UFC) is fresh off a devastating knockout win over former title challenger Dominick Reyes at UFC 281. The victory was his second in a row and his third in four outings.

With the addition, the UFC Fight Night lineup for Feb. 25 includes:

  • Nikita Krylov vs. Ryan Spann
  • Jordan Leavitt vs. Victor Martinez
  • Hailey Cowan vs. Ailin Perez
  • Denys Bondar vs. Ode Osbourne
