[autotag]Makhmud Muradov[/autotag] hasn’t lost in four-and-a-half years. Can he keep that going against [autotag]Gerald Meerschaert[/autotag]?
Muradov announced Saturday on Instagram that his next middleweight bout will be against Meerschaert on Aug. 28 at UFC Fight Night. MMA Junkie subsequently confirmed the booking with a person with knowledge of the situation, who asked to remain anonymous since the UFC has yet to officially make an announcement.

Muradov (25-6 MMA, 3-0 UFC) is riding a 14-fight winning streak that dates back to April 2017, which includes his first three UFC fights – against Alessia Di Chirico, Trevor Smith, and Andrew Sanchez. Most recently, Muradov, 31, TKO’d Sanchez with a flying knee and punches this past January at UFC 257.
Meerschaert (32-14 MMA, 7-6 UFC), 33, will aim to continue rebuilding. He’s 3-5 in his past eight fights but most recently snapped a two-fight losing streak after he choked out Bartosz Fabiński last month at UFC on ESPN 22.
