MIAMI – The UFC 299 main event is official.
UFC bantamweight champion [autotag]Sean O’Malley[/autotag] (17-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC) and rival [autotag]Marlon Vera[/autotag] (21-8-1 MMA, 15-7 UFC) hit the scale Friday at the host hotel during the official weigh-ins window, ahead of Saturday’s fight at Kaseya Center.
O’Malley was among the first to weigh-in and remained stoic as a commission member was troubleshooting a scale issue. Vera weighed in near the end of the one-hour window and used the standing box to hit 135 pounds on the nose.
