LAS VEGAS – An undisputed featherweight champion will be decided in the UFC 290 main event after [autotag]Alexander Volkanovski[/autotag] and [autotag]Yair Rodriguez[/autotag] made weight for Saturday’s unification bout.
Reigning champ Volkanovski (25-2 MMA, 12-1 UFC) and interim titleholder Rodriguez (15-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC) will clash in the headlining act of International Fight Week at the T-Mobile Arena. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ABC, ESPN and ESPN+.
First, though, both men had to step on the scale at official weigh-ins, which went down at the UFC Apex. Volkanovski was first to the scale in the two-hour window and was 144.5 pounds. Rodriguez weighed in about a minute later and was 145.
