HOUSTON – Just ahead of the vacant lightweight title fight at UFC 262, another pair of 155-pounders will clash.
[autotag]Beneil Dariush[/autotag] (20-4-1 MMA, 14-4-1 UFC) and [autotag]Tony Ferguson[/autotag] (25-5 MMA, 15-3 UFC) made weight Friday for the co-main event at the official weigh-ins at the UFC host hotel in Houston. Ferguson, a former interim lightweight champion, was 156 pounds. But Dariush, one of the final three fighters to come to the scale, was 156.5 on his first attempt. He was given an additional hour to shed the extra half-pound, and when he came back he was 156.
