JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The women’s flyweight title fight between [autotag]Valentina Shevchenko[/autotag] and [autotag]Jessica Andrade[/autotag] at UFC 261 is locked in.
Dominant titleholder Shevchenko (20-3 MMA, 9-2 UFC) and decorated challenger Andrade (21-8 MMA, 12-6 UFC) both successfully made weight on Friday morning at official weigh-ins.
Shevchenko looked sharp as usual, hitting the scale at 124.5 pounds. Andrade also hit the championship limit at 124.5 pounds.

The fight will mark Shevchenko’s fifth attempted title defense after winning the belt in December. Former strawweight champion Andrade, meanwhile, will try to become the eighth female in company history to claim belts in two divisions.
Shevchenko and Andrade are scheduled for a final staredown on Friday night at the UFC 261 ceremonial weigh-ins, then they’ll battle for the belt Saturday at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.
