[autotag]Deiveson Figueiredo[/autotag] was the first man on the scale at UFC 256, removing all doubt about whether he made a poor call agreeing to a 21-day turnaround for his flyweight title defense against [autotag]Brandon Moreno[/autotag].
Figueiredo (20-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC) came ready to go the moment of the official weigh-in window opened on Friday. He hit the mark at 124.5 pounds, setting him up for the fastest title fight turnaround in company history after he won at UFC 255 on Nov. 21.
The challenger, Moreno (18-5-1 MMA, 6-2-1 UFC), is making the exact same turnaround. The Mexican fighter didn’t show up as early as Figueiredo, but he came in within the required time frame at 124.5 pounds.
Now the pair are set for their main event clash.
UFC 256 takes place at UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN2 and ESPN+.
