The UCLA Bruins women’s basketball team has now seen a few players leave. The latest is Christeen Iwuala, who revealed her decision to enter the transfer portal in a social media post on Monday. Here’s some of what Iwuala wrote about the decision:
“I thank everyone for the love and support that everyone has shown me throughout my journey. As of now, I believe my time as a Bruin has passed and I’m going into a new chapter of my life.”
Iwuala finished up her second season with the Bruins with almost identical stats from his first year. She finished the 2023-2024 season with 3.7 PPG and 3.0 rebounds in just 11.6 minutes per, although she appeared in 33 games this past season.
She had eight points with five rebounds and a pair of steals in the Bruins’ Round of 64 win over California Baptist and she played sparingly in the other two tournament games as well.
