UCLA women’s team draws No. 2 seed in same region as Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese

UCLA a 2-seed in the women’s tournament.

The brackets have been revealed for both the men’s and women’s tournaments. The UCLA Bruins men’s team won’t be in any postseason tourney after their disappointing season.

However, the women’s team has earned a No. 2 seed in the Big Dance in the Portland region. Unfortunately, the Bruins are in the same region as Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes (the No. 1 seed) and Angel Reese and the reigning champion LSU Tigers (No. 3 seed).

UCLA begins the tournament with a matchup against 15-seed California Baptist and then will play the winner of Creighton-UNLV. If those things go as planned, a Sweet 16 showdown with LSU would be in store.

Nonetheless, the Bruins have all of the talent to make a deep run in March Madness, even with their questionable play against USC in the Pac-12 tournament.

But, being in the same region as LSU and Iowa is a brutal draw for Cori Close’s team.
