UCLA at Arizona picks and predictions
Prediction
UCLA 72, Arizona 69
Moneyline
BET UCLA (+150).
Arizona has had a tough time against big-name teams, losing its last 4 matchups against AP-ranked opponents. They’ve handled mid-majors well, but their non-conference schedule has been no joke with games against Duke, Wisconsin, Oklahoma and West Virginia.
UCLA hasn’t faced as tough a schedule, but they’ve hit the ground running in Big Ten play, winning their first 2 games, including a road upset over Oregon.
The Wildcats could really use a marquee win, but going up against UCLA’s defense isn’t ideal. The Bruins are giving up just 55.1 PPG and forcing 18.2 turnovers a game, smothering teams with constant pressure.
Arizona’s offense is likely to struggle under that kind of heat, giving UCLA the edge to take control and keep their streak alive.
Against the spread
PASS.
I’ll focus my attention on moneyline with UCLA.
Over/Under
I’ll LEAN UNDER 146.5 (-110) since UCLA has stayed Under in 7 of 9 games this season and has the best defense in college basketball, giving up just 55.1 PPG. But Arizona has gone Over in 5 of their last 6, all with totals above 150.
But this is just a lean, so go easy here and rake it in on the plus-money ML.
