UCLA trips and falls against Arizona

Mick Cronin’s team suffered another ugly loss.

The UCLA Bruins men’s basketball team has had some much-needed time off. However, they failed to show up for Thursday’s home game against Arizona.

The Wildcats walked all over them, winning the game by a score of 88-65. The Bruins have now dropped five in a row after losing by 12 to Washinton State last time out, and the final game will be against Arizona State on Saturday.

It was never close as Arizona went into halftime up by 17 and they scored 44 points in each of the two halves on Thursday night.

The Bruins had three players in double figures with Lazar Stefanovic leading the way with 20 points and Dylan Andrews chipping in 18 as well. But, still, the defense was nowhere to be found as Arizona shot 51 percent from the field and 39 percent from three-point land in another huge showing for Tommy Lloyd’s team.

The Bruins hopes are gone unless they pull off a miracle and win the Pac-12 tournament next week.
