UCLA toward the bottom in latest College Sports Wire Big Ten rankings

UCLA is toward the bottom again.

As the saying goes, there is nowhere to go but up. That is the case for the UCLA Bruins after a too-close-for-comfort Week 1 win over Hawaii. They then had a Week 2 bye before a huge Big Ten opener against Indiana at the Rose Bowl.

Jeff Hicks of College Sports Wire dropped his Big Ten power rankings after Week 2 came to an end, and UCLA was at No. 17 on the list, just ahead of the Northwestern Wildcats.

Record: 1-0

Next Opponent: vs. Indiana on Saturday, September 14.

The Bruins have a chance to knock the Hoosiers from Cloud Nine as they welcome the first team from the Big Ten’s midwest to Los Angeles.

UCLA needs to win Week 3 before facing their own three-game schedule against top 25 teams. All three of those opponents are ranked 16th or better.

The question is, can DeShaun Foster’s team get the win over Indiana at the Rose Bowl?
