UCLA and Gonzaga are two powerhouses in college basketball. They have faced off in the NCAA Tournament and in the Final Four recently, so getting them to play each other would be fun for the programs and fans.
Well, UCLA and Gonzaga are now going to be playing each other for the next two seasons, per a release from the school. UCLA will begin by hosting Ginzaga at Intuit Dome in 2024, the new home of the Los Angeles Clippers.
‘In an event coined the West Coast Hoops Showdown, the Bruins will take on Gonzaga at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024. Intuit Dome will serve as the Los Angeles Clippers’ new home venue this fall and is located approximately 14 miles south of UCLA’s campus. UCLA will travel north to face Gonzaga at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle the following season, on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025.’
It’s quite the showdown for these two schools, and it makes it even better that it is being held at the brand-new, state-of-the-art home of the Clippers. Mark your calendars!
