The UCLA Bruins softball team punched their ticket to the Women’s College World Series on Friday night. After defeating Georgia on Thursday, the Bruins turned around and knocked off Georgia again, this time by a score of 6-1.
For the 32nd time in program history, UCLA is headed for the Women’s College World Series after sweeping Georiga in the Super Regionals.
Sharlize Palacios again played hero for UCLA, going 3-for-3 with a pair of home runs and four RBIs to lead the Bruins’ winning effort and send them to Oklahoma.
Oklahoma already set their mark and punched their ticket in the same bracket as UCLA, but the rest awaits for the weekend.
Soak it all in.

Taylor Tinsley dazzled on the mound for the Bruins to lead the way on Friday night, but Palacios with her second multi-homer game of the postseason is the start that keeps this Bruns train going.
