UCLA has enjoyed a lot of excitement and buzz since hiring new head coach, DeShaun Foster. But one ranking may bring the Bruins back down to Earth.
In a recent 247 Sports composite ranking, the Bruins rank as the worst recruiting school in the BIG 10. With only ten recruits, two four-star, and eight three-star, the Bruins lag behind all other teams in the BIG 10.
Though the recruiting process is still far from over, the Bruins significantly fall behind other powerhouse schools. With Oregon rated at the top, the Bruins are looking up at them as well as fellow former Pac-12 teams, USC and Washington.
The problem is fixable for the Bruins but is an indication that there is plenty of work to be done. Following a mass exodus of players to the NFL on the defensive side of the ball this off-season, there are several holes and positions of need.
But if the Bruins can harness their new-found momentum and steal some recruits from fellow BIG 10 teams, they could find themselves back in the mix and closer to a conference title.
