UCLA picks up three-star defensive lineman commitment

The players keep on coming to Westwood.

It is no secret that the UCLA Bruins have a knack for finding and developing strong defensive talent. This week, the Bruins added a big player up front to their 2025 recruiting class.

The Bruins picked up the commitment of three-star defensive lineman Tyler Partlow from St. Thomas More High School in Oakdale, Connecticut. Partlow, at 6′ 4″ and north of 260 pounds, is a big-bodied lineman with impressive upside.

Receiving offers from fellow BIG 10 schools, Washington and Maryland, Partlow is a space-eating and fierce run-defender. Able to kick inside and outside on the defensive line, Partlow is a great versatile pickup for the Bruins.

With the Bruins graduating several players on the defensive line to the NFL Draft, there is a substantial hole along their front seven. But with reinforcements on the way like Partlow, there is a chance for growth in the class of 2025. If the players currently on the roster on the defensive line can improve and pave the way for Partlow, the Bruins could have another dominant front seven in the BIG 10 for years to come.
