UCLA one of two schools for three-star defensive end

The Bruins are a finalist.

It has come down to the UCLA Bruins and the University of Washington Huskies for one recruit. Defensive end Juju Walls, from Pittsburgh, California, has narrowed his search to a pair of former Pac-12 powerhouses. The 2025 three-star recruit stands at 6′ 2″ and 200 pounds and has the home-state Bruins as one of his final two schools according to Tracy McDannald at Rivals.com (Subscription required.)

The Bruins have become a lightning rod for defensive end recruits, following the successes of former All-American edge rusher and 15th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Laiatu Latu. Interstingly, Latu was a transfer from the University of Washington. It seems hardly coincident that Walls narrowed his search down to the Bruins and Huskies as a result.

Given the coaching changes at both programs, with DeShaun Foster entering his first season and Washington’s Kalen DeBoer jumping ship for Alabama, Walls has a difficult decision.

Does Walls trust the recruiting of Washington or the development of UCLA? The answer will be clear once Walls makes his decision.
